anyway. one of the first things struck me as very funny:
"in the uncharted backwaters of the unfashionable end of the western spiral arm of the galaxy, lies a small, unregarded yellow sun. Orbiting this at a distance of roughly 92 million miles is an utterly insignificant little blue-green planet, whose ape-descended life forms are so amazingly primitive, that they still think digital watches are a pretty neat idea..."

i find this funny because josh pointed out that both my sister and i have an issue with reading his watch [or, i guess, anything not digital].
[book by Douglas Adams]
anyway, i believe that's all i have for today.
justtttt kidding.
one more thing:
i was very excited to see that i am not the only one [aside from my girlfriends] that uses the terms "cuppie's" or "cuppiecakes".
i was referred to Cakespy.com by Stacey in response to my April 3 post: "Cupcakes & Love Notes". this interview is with Leslie Fiet, who started "Mini's Cupcakes" in Salt Lake City, Utah. you can read the full interview here: Cakespy: Batter Chatter. i enjoy Cakespy for their pictures that make me drool...and i mean, it's all about cupcakes...sooo, who WOULDN'T enjoy that?

hahha...there are so many amazing quotes in it...you won't be able to contain yourself. It really is a great book, it's like a movie that you can watch over and over again. Every time you read/listen to it you catch something new and so it gets better every time. My sissy told me that there was a tv series the BBC put out in 1981...I want to see them so bad, but I want to read the rest of the books first. I've only made it partway though "The Restaurant at the End of the Universe" because I have no timmmmmmmmmmmme
I've never read the book although I had a copy at one time.
I did see the movie they made based on it. It absolutely sucked eggs.
Maybe if you read the book first then the movie is better.
Maybe...
Thanks for lunch.
#1- LOVE audio books, and that is a good one!! I always listen to books on tape while I do drawings!!
Second, I am so glad you enjoyed the interview!! It's all about the cupcakes--I agree. Maybe there should be a new song, "It's all about the benjamins (and the cupcakes), baby".
xoxo head spy jessie
Don't you just love cakespy's artwork also??? I love the one where the cupcake has a knife and is going to shank another dessert. Tooooo coooool. Cakespy's Mr. Cakespy is also a musician and has some pretty cool tunes out too. Such creative lil' critters!
