we only have one more game until the playoffs. right now i think we are um...5 or 6 out of 8 teams...and i think only the top 4 teams go to playoffs, but we'll see. we lost the first 2 games last night, but won the last! and it was the #1 team! so, that was a little bit of a self esteem booster!!

the league has been so much fun! i hope everyone's ready to play in the Spring league too!!

the days go by...

i can't believe it's practically mid-February already!! do the years continue to go by quicker and quicker as you get older? i'm not sure i like that...

we [The Dundies] had our first volleyball game yesterday. it was quite an interesting experience - playing with Staci, who i played with only in high school [oh...7 years ago...], with my cousin, who i've mostly coached, with my friend bethany from work, who i really only know in the "work setting" and her 3 friends, who i had never met before. i think everyone's biggest fears were: 1) sucking from lack of play 2) having others think they consistently suck 3) missing a serve 4) taking someone else's ball. i think everyone seems to have a great and easy-going attitude, so we had a lot of fun. well, i did. we won two out of three games. at one point, i thought i saw my previous assitant coach, brenda, so i yelled "is that brenda!?" and bekah just looked at me and shook her head. "brenda" heard me somehow [she was like 40' away], so when she turned towards me i just looked away. then bekah proceeded to point to random people [mostly guys] and ask "is that brenda?" i went through a severe case of the giggles and couldn't focus.

i'm glad it's wednesday. i think kristen and i are making enchiladas and HOMEMADE GUACAMOLE tonight!! tomorrow i'm getting my hair cut & dyed! yay!!!!!!!

the rest of the new furniture for the "Design Department" at work [as we decided to call it] is shipping next Friday. my boss is going to be getting some other furniture for his office. it's going to look really great. it's Knoll [of course], the series being "Autostrada".

on Monday, kc and i took a grueling [fairly easy, go at your own pace, didn't break a sweat] weights & abs class. for some reason, one exercise MURDERED my left arm. i'm not sure what happened - if those 3lb weights were ridiculously too much, if i did the exercise wrong or if i just randomly pulled a muscle. it's been on and off hurting since then [more so when i'm at work, and my arm is resting on my desk], but you would know this if you follow me on twitter or facebook :). anyway, hopefully its going to continue to improve [it feels better today] because we plan on going back on Monday and i'm starting a volleyball league with my cousin, Stace and friend from work and her friends.

PS: our volleyball team is made up of friends who LOVE THE OFFICE. we've named ourselves "The Dundies", with awesome shirts [designed by myself and rachers]. this is the best pic i have as of right now:

i'm looking forward to a low-key weekend of Meta Cafe tonight, not much other than some cleaning & hanging out tomorrow and singing at church on Sunday.

also, i enjoyed the office last night. it's great watching it at my sister & brother-in-law's, because every time i look at brian he has his face in his hands from major 3PE, which makes me laugh even more.

ugh so awesome.

i have my dad's murano packed [almost] to the brim of boxes, bags, pillows...a microwave...
game tonight then it's off to the apartment! i've gotten out of going to the vball game i'm supposed to be coaching tomorrow...but now new problems arise - who's going to keep the book? who's going to do the scoreboard? who's going to make sure everything get's put away? ughghgh i dont know. it'll work out. i trust my replacement! i just don't want to throw a bunch of crap on him :(

oh well. yay tonight!

lack of...

i apologize for my lack of reading, commenting and blogging of my own. things have been crazy busy...as is the ushe.

• i've had 3-4 volleyball games or practices a week. this requires leaving early from work very often, meaning no time at work to blog.
• lappy is broken. hopefully i'll be sending her back today. this is why i haven't blogged at home.
• work is crazy. we're busy. it's good, but stressful. especially when i have to leave early.
• the shirts i bought the girls last week were "rejected" by the school. they told me they need to be approved to be worn as jerseys at games, and that they pretty much wouldn't be approved at all. so, they got to wear them for the tourny and a game, but that's about it. they can wear them to warm up in and to travel in, so that's good at least. i understand their rules...sort of...but i also think it's stupid.
  
• the volleyball team is doing pretty well. JV is having a rough time, but the varsity girls are really impressing me this year. too bad 7 out 0f 9 of the varsity girls will be gone next year.
  
• i'm SO EXCITED ABOUT FALL. seriously. i love it. when the leaves start to change i'm going to make josh go with my on my annual fall picture-taking walk. my plan is to go to wintergreen gorge by my house. it's very pretty there. but seriously, there is something about fall that really...just...effects me. i have an idea of what it could be.
  
• i have two potential halloween parties to go to this year. i'm excited.
  
• um, KC and i move in to our apartment in TWO WEEKS! i can't believe it. we are going to try to get our furniture and other things tomorrow! ahhhhh excited!!!!!!!
  
• one week until the office season premiere!!! holy mother, i am SO EXCITED. i had a dream last night that jim proposed to pam in the premiere. i am going to make my cuz cuz bekah come over and watch episodes with me and bring her office dvd game :)

not really. lappy broke last night. don't know what's going on, but she won't start up. i turn her off and back on and hear noises but nothing comes on the screen. i was able to get the "start in safe mode" but that didn't work either.

however, good news is i have a 1/2 day tomorrow and friday off because of a volleyball tournament. i'm actually really excited about this: A) because i ordered new shirts for the girls on Saturday B) because it's my girls who have been playing with me for 4 years so they're pretty good and i expect great things from them C) because i get to take 1 1/2 days off yay!!

here are the tasty cupcakes. they were loved by all.
the "frosting" [which was more like a mouse] was not too difficult, though i may have added to much milk to it [because i was afraid i was burning the chocolate]. after they sat in the fridge for a few hours they were much better!

i spent the first awesome day of spring [April 7th] in Pittsburgh at the Pirates Home Opener! it was beautiful. the weather had to be up to 70 degrees, and since we were in the sun the WHOLE day, it seemed even warmer.

it was so great just being outside for all that time! we couldn't have asked for a better day. anybody else get the day off or do anything fun with the nice weather?
