i'm not gonna lie

yeah, there was pretty much NO DIET this weekend. i'm not going to give any excuses though...i just didn't care! staci said to me yesterday, "aren't you on a diet, mase?" and i said, "not today!" whoops. bethany and i plan on going pretty hard this week (at least breakfasts, lunches, and working out). we have 10 days left i believe!

this weekend:

• josh and i had a date night at TGI Friday's. we also started watching the movie "The Hustler"
• saturday i photographed a baby shower and made cuppies with stace & kristen for katie's bridal shower (sunday)
  
• josh and i played pool with mikey j, his brother todd, and our friends dustin & laurel. we also finished "The Hustler" (movie about pool). i think i became a semi-pro player after josh's tutelage!
• sunday was an awesome service at church, katie's super fun and beautiful bridal shower, and a volunteer appreciation DESSERT at church. so yummy.
  
• josh has been getting into the series FRINGE lately (well, he has all the episodes and we've been watching them). pretty good...though i cringe a lot watching them. i was hiding my head in his shoulder several times last night.

things i've accomplished today:

• bought new iPhone case [sike, i did that yesterday] [i believe Rach & @krislynch also have this case...]
• "dressed up" for work [KC was shocked]
• waited in a waiting room for a client for 1/2 hour
• had a S'Mores "snowstorm" [blizzard]
• ate a leftover subway sub
  
• purchased faceplate for CD player [FINALLY - this involved ripping out my old CD player to get the model #]
• figure out a fabric ordered for a job isn't approved on the item it's supposed to be going on. great. almost solved the issue...
• charged my iPhone
• thought about Dad on his plane to England...
  

wow. doesn't seem very productive.

things on my mind...

here's some better [bigger] pics of the cuppies...

about a minute after i took them out of the oven, i shoved in pieces of a hershey chocolate bar [i used the small ones] so that was my somewhat "melted" center.

the frosting turned out good, i think, not too marshmallowy.

the graham cracker crust was a little thick...i think that caused some dryness in the cuppies, or because i cooked them a little longer than necessary [cause they weren't as thick! which also resulted in a final total of 35 cuppies instead of the normal 24].

other things going on...

• got some new luggage for Neocon: an organizer thingie and a 4-wheel carry-on suitcase
• getting my hair cut & colored next week! yipppeeee!
• duh, neocon
• sunset last night was AMAZING

• um....CRUISE with my 4 bestest girls in DECEMBER!!!

• i signed up to be on a softball team with some friends of mine. so far they have had about 4 or 5 games/practices and i haven't been able to attend one. tomorrow is a tournament [first game at 8 AM!!!!!!! ughgh], but i am able to go! i'm pretty excited, plus the shirts look pretty cool!
• i can't use AutoCAD or my other software right now because my main furniture system i use is empty and has "no items"...as in i have no symbols or spec info...so i'm kind of feeling useless right now
• i have a million things going on in June.

"i'm going a million miles an hour."

ahh, my boss's favorite thing to say! very true though...
we have a bunch of things going on right now on the "front" end [as in lots to do for myself, our other designer and my boss]. lots of bids, quotes, designs, clients...ahhh so much.

i thought i'd just leave you with a few things today:

i'm placing an order today for 3 workstations for a company in Erie. i'm really excited about these stations because we are going to be doing some things we haven't really done before in Erie. Below is a drawing and a picture of the look we are going for:

basically, we're doing some awesome add-up glass panels, silver/metal trim, and some awesome panel fabrics. i'm really excited to see this one to completion. i'll post pics of it when it's done [stay tuned...it's going to be at least 4-5 weeks].

Second, i've been researching outdoor furniture for a project for a college and i came across this awesome piece from EmuAmericas. i'm going to get one of these...put it right next to my gorgeous in-ground pool.

a few months ago i posted on my other blog about some pens i had fallen in love with. yeah, that's right, in love with pens. if you try these pens, you will see why. anyway, the pen is a Uni-Ball Signo pen, Micro 207, .5mm pen.

it is seriously awesome, and comes in several different colors! however, my boss's wife recently purchased some NEW and DIFFERENT Signo pens that i've been enjoying. this new one is called the Signo Gelstick and is thicker than the Micro's, but still writes awesome. i tell you, one's work day can be a lot more enjoyable when you have a pen you fancy writing with :).

also, i got my hair chopped yesterday. ok, that's not 100% true, but i did get 2 inches off, and got my eyebrows donnnnne! yayayay! i'd post pics but seeing as i have no friends, i'd have to take a picture of myself, and seeing as i suck at doing that....um...it's not going to happen.

i thought it might be fun to do a "24-something" post as it is my 24th birthday!


today's post will be: 24 things i've done/accomplished in my 24 years of life [be warned, some may be pretty stupid]

1. had surgery
2. got a degree
3. told someone i loved them
4. got [two] tattoos
5. got [several] piercings
6. laughed so hard i cried
7. cried so hard i threw up
8. stayed up all night
9. drove to another state [and through several others]
10. flew to another country
    
11. been overwhelmed by absolute happiness
12. lost a loved one
13. paid my taxes [and got a refund]
14. got a "real" job
15. sang in front of 300 people [maybe more, not sure]
16. been in a "recording" studio, and on a CD
17. loved till it hurt
18. toured a castle / large mansion [and wished i lived there]
    
19. lead a small group [several]
20. splashed around in the [welsh] sea
21. been on a boat [not sailing though, that is on the list of things to accomplish!]
22. coached a sport / taught a class
23. been the best friend i could be
24. been thankful & loved Jesus every day

maybe next week i'll do a follow up "24 things i plan to accomplish by next year [that may be too ambitious]" or "in the future"...

i think this might be my job list to complete for the day...i'm not sure. it wasn't on my desk, but it wouldn't fit on my desk anyway.
