fabric friday: 08-26-11 / KnollTextiles Nail Polish Giveaway!

After I won my awesome bottle of CATO PINK nail polish courtesy of KnollTextiles' Facebook giveaway, I knew I had to score another bottle for my boss Dory. Last time we heard about the Knoll Red color coming out, we contacted our sales rep and he sent us each a bottle. I emailed him again and requested one be sent for Dory, since she doesn't have a Facebook.

We received...several bottles.

As far as I know - you can't purchase these, you have to 1) know someone (from Knoll) or 2) win them on Facebook giveaways.

This picture does NOT do the color justice.
I was unable to get a good shot with my camera at 10PM,
so let it be known the color is PINK and it is SHIMMERY!
Check KT online for a better shot of the color.

Since I came across an extra one, I talked to my KnollTextiles rep and she thought giving away a bottle of CATO PINK would be a great idea to spread more awareness of Knoll and KnollTextiles to the architecture and design community and, well, everyone!! So - here we are today - giving one bottle away to a lucky, lucky reader!!

Here's a better representation. Image via KnollTextiles Facebook.

Here are the rules:
*Entry gained by comment below - tell me about your favorite or
what's the most you've splurged on a nail polish.
* One bottle. One winner. One comment per person.
No additional entries gained by other methods.
*Winner must be located in the US.
*Please make sure you leave a way for me to contact you
(email, blog, Twitter, etc.) so I can notify you if you win!
*Giveaway will close at 11:59 PM next Thursday, September 1, 2011
and will be announced on next Friday's Fabric Friday post (on September 2, 2011).

KnollTextiles did not provide me with this for a giveaway, however I am choosing to give an extra bottle because I love Knoll & KnollTextiles, I love my new nail polish and I love all my blog readers! I wanted to share the love with all of you.

Awesome giveaway! I've only recently gotten back into nail polish for my fingers and toes (within the last year or so) for awhile I didn't because it was coming off so frequently due to working at restaurants, cooking, etc. This summer I've been wearing yellow, lavender, coral, and deep red! I remember back when I was about 13, I saved up for about a month for this super expensive bottle of polish from the makeup counters. It was mint green. Do you also remember those polishes that had the jelly rings on the top when you bought them? Great giveaway!

Okay. So I tried to search online, but apparently my favorite nail shade is discontinued...

It's Sally Hansen and it has awesome glitter/sparkles in it - but not be chunks of glitter that are impossible to remove.

Very cool giveaway! I used to be the girl who got her nails done every day and I always went for the funky colors. I had orange and black at one time I have had bright name it I wore it. Unfortunately for money reasons my nails have been neglected for some time but I think the bright colors are the best for the summer time :)

Actually my favorite nail polish is one I got at Aerie awhile ago. It goes on super smooth and stays on for a really long time. Love it! They don't have it anymore and so I was in American Eagle and they had some so I bought it hoping it would be similar...yeah it's definitely not ;(

My favorite polishes (its a tie because I usually wear them together)are Essie Sand Tropez and Sephora by OPI Havana Dreams (its like an aquamarine color), which I use for the tips of my nails.

I honestly can't remember the last time I purchased nail polish! For the longest time I wasn't able to wear it, due to my job! I'd love to start wearing it again!

Hey amy. : ) So, probably the best nail polish splurge story is pretty hilarious. As a teenager, I loved the dark blue sparkly stuff they sold at Claire's in the millcreek mall. But the real reason I loved it was that it reminded me of my brother Joe as a 1-3 year old. He used to be so jealous of my blue nails, and blue was his favorite color, so he'd always ask me to paint his toenails bright blue. It was beyond adorable -- he'd have blue sparkly toes, and my dad would get all disgruntled, because "He's a boy, emily!"

Basically, it was awesome. And now, a little more grown-up, I love pink, and red, a little more than blue.

Hope all's well!

Oops, I thought that'd add my name.

I went a little crazy with nail polish this year, deciding I was no longer going to wear acrylics (with the pretty standard French tips). My biggest splurge was OPI's Pirates of the Caribbean collection. I LOVE the Silver Shatter!

Thank you for the giveaway - this looks like such a fun color! :)
