Sigh, another weekend come and gone. This was the last of my crazy-busy weekends until our anniversary trip next weekend (CAN'T WAIT).
Friday we had a delicious dinner of steak + pasta and just hung out and relaxed. Josh played some video games and I kept plowing through our third book in our SKANK book club, The Girl Who Played With Fire.
Saturday Josh and I had breakfast together then I was off to Staci + Shane's and we traveled to Mars, PA to Twelve Oaks Mansion for their friends Nikki + Ryan's wedding. They had asked Staci to take pictures and Staci had asked me to help her out!
Here are a few pics from the wedding:
As it was the first Sunday of the month, Josh and I were on worship band duty. The services were great, other than crazy wireless microphone troubles during the first service which were fixed pretty quick. Never experienced those kind of problems before, but our tech guy Tim said it could have been from someone's cell phone or even having to do with the fact that it was raining out. How bizarre is that?? Josh's Gram also came to our church this weekend, which was pretty great seeing her! I miss my grandmas (and granddads) terribly, but I'm so blessed that Josh's Gramma Julie is so like how my Grandma Betty was - always loving, always praying for her family and praising God in all she did.
Of course Josh and I closed out the weekend spending several hours napping Sunday and relaxing together.
I can't believe it's August and Josh and I are approaching our ONE YEAR wedding anniversary! Life just keeps going faster and faster! Hope you all had fun weekends! Did you do anything exciting?

Interesting report there on the malfunction of wireless microphones. Tim Techie may also consider another possibility.
A whopper solar flare took off on Friday, from sunspot 1263. This is a double spot EACH larger than Earth.
We are in Solar Cycle 24 (read them in Wiki) as the first was recorded in 1700's.
"Solar Cycle 24 began "December 2008" is kicking off magnetic storms and strong solar winds that will likely disrupt power grids, satellite communications, GPS, cell phones, and ATMs."
This was not a hassle in 1755, but is a growing complication now (including weather situations).
A whopper was reported August 5th, 2011 (Friday) taking off.
That story was titled:
"Solar flares may impact communications this weekend"
Read it all here:

Here is a YouTube of the last week of July, 2011 and solar flares, but as you watch , READ the info by the guy who uploaded it. Awesome story there.

This is an awesome display going on recently, and continuing now. Tell Tim!
The Perseids meteor shower is also a biggie, lasting a month usually. This is a great way to spend all night watching zillions of "shooting stars".
I always took my daughter out in the country with few lights to bother views. Go out Rt. 98 in Fairview, (south) until you go down and up Elk creek (after Rt, 90.
Take a left on the first road, and you head to Elk Valley Golf Course. The grass is short, no bugs, see other wildlife if you are lucky, lay down on the grass just off Number 18 hole, and enjoy the fireworks.
We went every year in her youth. GO!
It is a memory maker few know of locally (due to lights). (And, it is on her birthday annually). :-D
Read Wiki on Perseids and see awesome pictures too. We get a month every year to see this one in comfortable weather. Peak night this year is August 13th...a Saturday!
Here is the annual schedule of other shooting stars, and you can see them about 2 weeks before and after peak. Go on the peak or close to it.
