bachelorette weekend: days 4 &5

ok. i'm sick of this last post just waiting to be posted.

here's some shots and bullet points from our last day(s) in Florida:

in line for possibly the back stage tour. at this point, my camera told me i had taken too many pictures (oh, you know, over 700). i started deleting the junk ones to make more room...


roomie got chosen to participate in the Indiana Jones stunt show! totes fun!


Muppets in 3D. it was good, but it was freezing in there. kind of ruined it for me.


end of the day - Magic Kingdom. my camera battery died right before we left Hollywood Studios. also, Alicia had to go to work for a bit, so we took the shuttle to Magic Kingdom. i didn't think about it, and had to carry my huge dead-battery-now-useless camera around the rest of the day. ANNOYING.

my trip - was awesome.
my friends - are awesome.
my life - is awesome.

update, mostly about wedding progress...

haven't updated in a while...still have a day left to finish on my Bachelorette Weekend series of posts!!! things have been insanely busy of course, as is my normal lack-of-posting excuse. work is very busy, i am completely immersed in a HUGE hospital job (which is awesome, but stressful), plus all the other work we have going on.

tonight is my 2nd Bachelorette Party with some of the girls that couldn't make it to the Florida trip.

tomorrow is my shower.

wait. what?

TOMORROW IS MY SHOWER.

i can't even believe it. we're almost at the two month mark!!!

we are 99% done with DESIGNING the wedding invitations. hopefully we'll get them printed and assembled...and dare i say it? SENT OUT? next week!??! i dread the amount of money i'm going to be spending on postage.

yesterday, josh and i picked up my ring and ordered his (mine we ordered a "sample" first because they didn't have anything like what i wanted in stock. it was PERFECT! plus, they ordered it in my size, cause it's now my ring, so i got to see EXACTLY what it would look like). i'm making josh keep it so i don't stare at it and try it on every second i can (cause i totes would).

we're slowly making the purchases for the reception decorations.

i'm changing my mind about shoes and jewelry. big surprise there.

i have my hair trial in two weeks!! so excited about that. still working on details about what to do about coloring my hair...

we got to hear the song my cousin wrote for us!! now we're just trying to make a decision on where exactly to put it!

kristen is slowly moving her stuff out into her new place! it's sad seeing our 2-years living together coming to an end, but i'm so excited for both of our new life stages! i can't wait to see her house (tomorrow)!!!

so, things are moving along. life is good.

bachelorette weekend: day 3

highlights:

• awesome town & country van rented and driven by Alicia
• two hour drive to Anna Maria Island to Manatee Beach
• almost-white sand, almost-clear super-warm water
• relaxing with some of my favorite girls
• 90 degree temps
• taking full advantage of "continuous shot mode" on my camera
  
• sipping frosty drinks and eating yummy app's by the ocean
• fun lights in the town & country van and feeling pretty awesome about it
• power-women songs from the 80's (including but not limited too "house of love" by Amy Grant and Celine Dion, "because you loved me")
• dressing back up in our LBD's and bachelorette box gear
  
• downtown universal, one club, avoiding creepy guys, finding a bachelor party and telling the bachelor "congrats" and "marriage is cool," staying till last call, mistaking people's genders and staci hating me cause we had her out past 3 am!

sunday was probably the best day. beach time and dancing with some crazy-fun girls. LOVED IT!!

wedding dilemma #who knows

so today mum & i met with the coordinator at the maennerchor.

we plan on serving beer and wine at the wedding, with a cash bar. we want our guests to have fun and be able to drink, but we can't break the bank doing so. we're going to pick three wines and one beer.

there's the dilemma. i know nothing about beer. i need some help from you out there who may have more experience with beer! josh, i need your opinion as well.

so, what's a good "standard" beer that people will enjoy? i need some suggestions and then maybe we'll do a poll to pick the winner! (or we just choose the beer josh picks, as he might prefer one over another...)

bachelorette weekend: day 2

day 2 of the most awesome bachelorette weekend included:

• singing songs with alicia
• DISNEY: animal kingdom
• an awesome safari
• watching Stace, Kristen, Alicia and Katie on the Mt Everest ride with Nikkie (yeah, we don't like those "roller coaster" things)
• hot and humid temps and a little bit of sun burn
• EPCOT!
• margaritas in mexico
• light lunch in china
• gelato and cannolis in italy
• cider, beer and beatles in England
• little black dresses and an hour + long wait at The Cheesecake Factory
• delicious dinner and cheesecakes
• deciding we're too old and tired to go out - early bed time before midnight (postponed until the next night)
